Our team spent about 5 hours investigating The Knickerbocker Hotel in Linesville, Pa. on Saturday July 11, 2009. Our investigation was from 10:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. Our equipment included 6 infrared cameras set up throughout the hotel. EMF detectors, digital themometers, K2 meters, Digital and night vision cameras. Digital voice recorders. Here we are including some of the evidence collected and some history of the hotel and personal experiences had by our team members. Our investigation was broadcast to thousands of viewers via the internet. It was great to have their input as the evening progressed. Peg, owner of the hotel, was also along for the ride that night, and could not have been nicer or more helpful. As a group, we highly recommend making arrangements to investigate The Knickerbocker, and we look forward to making it there again. Thanks again Peg!
The basement of the Knickerbocker held alot of personal experiences for our team as well as some EVPS. Peg found a motion detector, she had personally set up in a part of the basement where none of us had been, off of the wall and literally taken apart on the floor. We have included video of a team member having a rock thrown at him, which was witnessed by other team members watching the monitors upstairs. He was in the basement alone.
Team member Paul was investigating alone in the basement when, after asking for a sign of presence, a rock was thrown in his direction. We were watching on the monitors upstairs and thought it was just dust or an orb entering the picture, but Paul heard the rock hit the floor, and if you watch closely, you can see the rock bounce off of the floor near Paul. Best viewed at 200% or full screen. You can see it bounce.
After investigating the 3rd floor during the evening, team member, Irene Getway, and I went down to base for a break. Upon entering the lighted room, I was walking behind her and noticed a long, red scratch along the back of her arm. I asked her what had happened, as I had been with her the whole time, and she had no idea what I was talking about and could not feel the scratch at all. We immediately took photos and upon feeling the scratch, it was incredibly hot and bright red. After talking to other team members, we realized her husband had been in a 3rd floor bedroom where he experienced the child sitting on the bed. Irene went to that room and they introduced her as his wife, the scratch appeared immediately after.
This photo was taken in another 3rd floor bedroom.
This is video of team member Dave Moyers coming down from investigating the third floor. We watched it happen from the monitors downstairs.
This was caught along the same staircase.
Theses 2 photos were also taken simultaniously in the main room that our equipment and monitors were set up in.
The following are EVPs caught in various places throughout the hotel. We have labeled them as to what we hear. There are also a couple labeled as "Unknown". Feel free to let us know what you think!
